    Question 1.7 EL Upgrade options

I'm shopping around for upgrades for an '02 Acura 1.7 EL. Do any of my fellow Canadians know any good online or retail shops? Toronto & GTA area if possible? Online articles? Websites?

Specifically, I'm mainly interested in engine mods and wheels.

Would it be able to use whatever a Civic uses? Wheel-wise? Engine mod-wise?

I'm not sure what the engine mod compatibility is, but i'm pretty sure you're still using 4x100 bolt pattern for wheels, so you should be fine with civic, or many other honda wheels.

You can use Si bolt ons for the engine, seeing how its the same 1.7 Vtec.

i think all Si mods will work because it is the same 1.7 SOHC vtec engine.

    Default 1.7 el upgrades

From what I've read, you can use anything for the US Civic EX of the same model year - same engine, and equally important... four doors, so it's go the same body, and the am exhausts will fit. The only problem will be the front bumper - the acura's is kinda pointy, and and civic's ain't.

yeah. go go clubel.ca for direct advice.
    I got an EL myself.
some good engine mods to start out with are:
air intake, exhaust header, intake exhaust.
those'll give you around +15 horsepower all together.
your EL (and mine) uses the EXACT same engine as the Civic SI.
so, there are lots of parts for your car.
    wheels are subjective.
I suggest sticking to 17"...gunplate metal colour all the way!
