Default How to send? (help soon plz!)

What would be the cheapest way for someone to send me something from Louisiana?
FedEx quoted me $37.50 USD, while UPS quoted me $107.70.
Its a set of lowering springs in the original box if that helps. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated...

On the bright side... my car is getting lowered soon! Good bye 4x4 stance...

USPS ground would probably be cheapest, but definetly not fastest. Honestly, just go with FedEx, or DHL, it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than UPS.

FEDEX!!! If you use UPS, they'll screw you over with customs fees and taxes and shipping costs cause they have their own brokerage. Fedex uses an external brokerage (much cheaper) called A&A contracting... Trust me, Fedex is the ONLY way to go!

So much for your FedEx theory!
I really hope this wasn't my shipment, though it's VERY possible...

If, by some bizarre freak chance your package happened to be on that particular truck, FedEx will be calling you to tell you about it.

Fedex is cool because of "that fedex movie". I think that was the longest commercial ever made!

    haha

How is purolator? I am shipping rims through them.

Fedex or USPS only, I have shipped many a item to and from, and they are the best. FedEx is reliable, fast and very very good rates because of no brokerage fees and junk. USPS is great for rates as well as reliability, but takes a few days longer (if its no hurry, big deal).

UPS and Purolater will own you hardcore on brokerage fees.

for example, on a 100 dollar US item I got billed like 45US from UPS for the brokerage fee...I refused to pay it and had them take it to the customs house where I paid just the duty.

Benny, where is the customs house? at the border?

Should have done that with my intake. Cost me 200USD, they billed me 90CND to receive it.

I called them asking if there were any other options to get a cheaper brokerage fee they said it was already done and I could either pay it and get my item, or not pay it and send it back.

So how much is the duty? (percentage)

    GST on top of that?

And when you go to the border to pick up rims and come back, what exactly do you pay? GST only or GST and duties?

Wow.... how come a simple intake cost $290 american to ship?
    That's more than it's worth!
My springs are at least twice the size of an intake, and it costs me $30 Canadian to ship them. Keep in mind they are coming all the way from New Orleans.

ps: No word if it was my truck that blew up. Hope not though

NO the intake was bought for 200 (shipping included...not sure how much it was)

But when UPS brought it to my door, I had to pay an extra 90 canadian to get it from them.
