Default Beyond shoppers = all fuckers!

Whats with all the fucking low balling all the time it's getting out of hand in market place. The constant low balling in threads is out of control and insulting at times. I can understand getting a deal but when buddy is selling a 500.00 mp3 player and you get these guys saying I will take it for 125.00......how about you go suck a dick!

I cant even count how many people say yes they will buy but never follow through, this is not just for sales but many others.

it's because half the people on this forum are still in High school making 6.50/hour for 20 hours a week. Pisses me off too, not even worth selling high dollar items in that section. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against anyone in High school just dont offer $250 for a $1000 item..thats just insulting

i agree but its almost society man

i work in retail and i can sell the cheapest shit to somebody and it wont be any higher than $600 for a entire computer package (and i mean CHEAP) and then i dread the comment "so whats the best deal you can give me"

fawk it pisses me off. see like on a 500 mp3 deck obo id offer like 400 just to see if a person would let it go for that, never would i expect em to, maybe for 450 but 125 wtf thats stupid

Well it's OBO... type in 500 firm next time .

I've had no problems selling stuff on here. Just have to be reasonable in asking price. Some stuff took like 4 months to move, but overall, I've had no problems.

If I'm selling something that's only gonna save $50 buying used vs new, it's obviously not gonna sell.

Even I've been accused on lowballing. But I mean, when I get get a profec B spec 2 for $350cdn and the guy is asking $500 for a profec B spec 1, I'm gonna offer $250.

But most of the time it is people lowballing, or even just being plain retarted, I was selling my seats for $1300 someone said to me "$500 bucks tonite, Ill give you cash not a cent more" we have to deal with people like that

I find I always have to list way more than what I want just to neutralize the lowballing. Even when you say the price is firm people still low ball.

It's also impossible to determine how much a person is willing to accept. Sometimes, a lowball offer will be accepted.

If you don't like the offer, ignore it or decline.

Whats the big deal? If something says OBO and hasnt had any offers in the forum for a week or 2 im going to "lowball". Besides its not like the "lowball" offer is firm too.

Personally I will bid a bit lower than I am willing to pay and see if the seller and I can meet somewhere in the middle. 99.99% of stock trading is done this way.

For the sellers. Perhaps learn the meaning of COUNTER-OFFER before getting your panties in a bunch.

counter offers are alot easier to negotiate when they are in middle ground.

    Item selling for 400 OBO

    I offer 300

He says 350, deal is made.

None of this I'll give you 70 because my cousin sold his for 70.

It is insulting to be offered 20 for an item worth 100.

almost all of my deals through beyond have been going through counter offers. unless the item is guarenteed to sell and i'm the first one into the thread, i'm going to try and get a better deal, hell thats how i can keep the budget down on my car so i can buy more stuff for it.

i do agree though, offering 125 for a $500 item is gay.

In the same way, everyone is also trying to get the most for their wares.

I personally find it entertaining to watch someone try to sell a 6 month old mp3 player for $10 less than the price to buy the newer generation model new, and then complains when someone "lowballs" him.
