Default Rule for test drives when selling your car?

Looking for the best rule of thumb when selling a car.. I'm looking to get rid of my car (2001 'lude) soon and probably going to sell it privately so i can hopefully make a couple more bucks..

If someone comes to test drive, do you think i should ride along or let them take it on their own? (this is all after of course taking their driver's license info)

    any suggestions appreciated..

You would be surprised of the amount of damage one test drive can do.

Yeah, agree but, for me, I say it depends on the person...if they're in they're mid 30's - and above..I say let them take it on their own...but if its 25 and under...go with them..cuz u know how we are at that age lol..

When I bought my car, I was with my buddy and my dad.. the dude was pretty trusting, but I doubt i'd let some punk kid drive in my car alone. It would depend on the person.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Take a look at your insurance coverage. When I sold my car I would not let anyone under 25 test drive it, as they would not be covered under my insurance.

I did sell it to someone under 25 also....took him for a ride in the car the first time, then his father came back with him and test drove it.
