    boxing day is coming up . They were selling them for nearly nothing at Visions last year! Maybe they will let em go that cheap this year too

    what do u guys think of shaw digitial? is movie central worth the money?

    it is some months when they have good movies but then after a few months the movies get kinda repetitive and

    Its why my family has already cancelled it for a while

    Satellite is the only way to go, especially if you want Tivo/PVR functionality!

    I agree.. I have Digital cable + DirecTV, and DirecTV is great.. especially the high definition channels. As far as PVR functionality, though, I think the best thing is to pick up one of the DVD-R drives with the built in hard disk (my friend just grabbed a Panasonic one). I like the idea of not paying an activation/subscription fee, and also being able to burn DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM disks.

    Course, you'll need to figure out how to turn Macrovision off on your DVD player, but that is fairly trivial if you get the right one.
