Default Best place for reasonable wheels?

I am looking for wheels in chrome or silver in 16 or 17 inch with a bolt pattern of 4 X 114.3. I am fairly new at this and wanted to check out a bunch of prices and such before making my decision. It seems like most sites I have been to list by company which if you ask me is a little ass backwards and just make it confusing as fuck...so a little help please...btw I am in the GTA (toronto) so any local shops you know of would be cool too.

    Thanks

Do a little research about wheels. I believe www.toyo.com explains the plus sizing for the tires you need for either 16" or 17" wheels.

Wheels come in different processes. But the most popular ones are the cast and forged alloy wheels. Basically a cast is a poured alloy into a container that forms the wheel. I believe they have pictures at www.enkei.com although they use a different technology. Forged wheels are expensive because they are usually lightweight and very strong because the molecules are evenly distributed and lined unlike the cast.

BUT first you have to pick which wheel do you want why don't you look at magazines and such or even websites, then decide from there and call places how much would it cost you for this wheel and tires.

    Thanks for the quick response.

My car can take up to 18 X 7.5 wheels so the 16 or 17 inch wheels won't pose too much of a problem, I really wanted to know what brands are good, what tires are good and what to look out for so that I don't get taken for a ride...so to speak.

Most of the guys on here are from Calgary, and I noticed you are from GTA. So any shop suggestions aren't really gonna help. I think that 1010tires.com is Canadian, but I'm not positive. Otherwise, I'd suggest going to manufacturers websites, and finding out if they have any dealers in your area.

*edit* Oops. Can't forget our sponsers. CMS Check 'em out, I've bought a few things from them, good guys to deal with.

Make sure you get the proper wheel offset for your car.

Yeah man, sorry about that. Confusing is really an understatement! Actually, it is pretty much non-functioning at the moment. We are completely re-designing it as we speak. It should be up and running within one or two months... Sorry about that! You will need to call or e-mail me if you want to get some options...
