Default Replacing broken lug nut bolt

Is this something I could do myself or should I just pay someone to replace? How about not replacing it at all?

You should replace it, just pound out the old stud and put the new one in.

I drove my 5 lug car with 3 lugs once, I dont reccomend it but that one is up to you.

Pound it out and then put a new one in? Sounds easy. I'm definately gonna replace it instead of driving around paranoid.

The bigger problem arises when you are on the highway with a flat tire and can't take out the lugnut because you don't have the proper tools. Any tire shop can do it for about 10-15 dollars.

i think he meant the stud broke. not the nut...

but yea, studs are very very easy to replace yourself.

all you need is a hammer and a punch of some sort.
