    Default Tips on studying

So I have a accounting quiz tomorrow, I absolutely hate this class, teacher is boring and I have no clue what the hell is going on. I just need a 38% the rest of the way to pass the course. But I might need to pass the final as required in most courses. How do I study for something I don't like? I've been sitting here reading for 15mins and then taking a 45min break

The good thing is, I have at least a B+ in all my other classes

    I HATE ACCOUNTING

Have no clue what accounting is like, but if its anything like math or physics, reading ain't gonna do jack. Just do the examples...again and again and again! When you are actually writing stuff down and figuring stuff out, you don't get bored as easily.

Hell even for courses with all reading, take notes anyways, it helps me.

Acct sucks...anyways, you could probably try and make some of your own problems and work thru them, modifying the examples that you get in class. Or if it's terms you want to memorize, write out the term and the definition - if you do that, you have less of a chance of forgetting it than reading it alone.

    What acct class is this?

The best way to study for accounting is actually doing all the exercises and the case studies. Sounds like shit but think put in a few weeks of hard studying it will pay off.

try to relate it to something you like such as cars..pretend you own a dealership and you want to maximize profit...or you know how when you disagree with what someone says on a forum and you hate them so much that you want to prove them wrong, so you do a ton of research to prove that other fool wrong..while approach studying like that..pretend that the shot caller has told you how to run your businesss but you know hes wrong now you just have to prove it

I find its just like Tuner mags if I keep looking at it I will remember it, just keep reading and go over the examples and it will be set in your mind, just take 30 min at a time and go hard take a 15 min break and go again. GOOD LUCK!

You have to force yourself to do it. Sit down and don't get off your seat until you have a certain amount of work done.
It should be 45 minutes study and 15 minute rest, not the other way around.

You have to PRACTICE the problems!
I you don't practice it you can't do it.
Merely looking over a problem and trying to understand how it's done and then trying to actually solve one when exam time rolls around won't cut it. Kinda like Math.

I'm already looking towards the final lol

Hey Bluedevil2, I'm at SAIT and quite a few people have dropped out as well......but I'm just banking on a 50% to pass the course!

WEaponR, I was at Uni taking pre-management, that didn't work over too well so I'm at SAIT trying to get the business diploma, and if i get a 3.0GPA, I can transfer to U of L automatically!
