They have 512mb CF Sandisk card for $99
They also have Ultra II CF 512mb for about $130
I got the Ultra II yesterday.

These are almost 2 years old, originally purchased through eBay. I've had ZERO problems with these CF cards and highly recommend them.

Sandisk cards from Costco are garbage... lost well over 50 pictures because of "corrupted data" errors.
if you want decent cards you can get the 40x pro 512's from tigerdirect.ca for $140 and you get to keep all your images.
edit: actuallyu they have a 40x 512 on right now for $121... but if you want that price you better buy one now, thier prices can change in an instant (depending on supply and demand and what price they can get from a supplier).

I dunno, I've used their 256 MB cards and I've had no problems. I just reformat my card everytime I empty it and it's worked perfectly fine...any reason why the 512's would work any worse then the 256?Originally posted by Ben

I have the 256MB card as well and had no issues. It's funny that erasing the files off the cards takes forever, yet a format takes seconds. I do the same thing when I want to clear the card after download. Never had a corrupted file yet, must have used it 30 times already so far. Deal for it was hard to pass up 6 months ago.Originally posted by Melinda

i dont think i have ever "formatted" my lexar cards, i just delete the files and keep goin.
I always format.
That is probably why you guys are getting corruptions.
I read somewhere that Sport Illustrated requires you to format if you use their gear...
Formatting is the best way to assure you don't get corrupt data.
I have 2 of the cheap 256mb cards, thousands of photos no problems...

Bernard what's the difference between the 512 CF Sandisk and the Ultra II? I know they are both sandisk, but what does the Ultra II bring to the table?Originally posted by benyl
