    Default installing neon lights in car

    I was looking at installing some neons lights inside my car.. right now Im lookin at installing the under dash. to light the floor boards. does ne body know how to wire them? one guy told me to cut my cig lighter and wire that but i need it to power my car charger.. ne ideas?

    tap into your headlights or the illumination wire from your deck make a switched power for it

    illumination wire from my deck.. you mean like what turns stero's lights on?

    question, as i am doing similar, but i know how to wire it...except i was wondering...if i use the wire for the courtesy lamp on the floor would that work? or is it not enough power? coz yeah, thats what im scared of, is not enough power going to it...

    get a power convertor or something similar im sure the courtesy lamp could run it tho. Cig lighter is the best way to go for any additional lighting tho

    There was 2 things cool in the 80's, mullets and neon lights, both are gay now adays.

    you know, i was semi considering it as well, i mean i drive a piece, and i figure i might as well rice it as much as i can, but i dont wanna use the lighter socket, so what really would be the best way to do this.... all mullets aside

    He meant to tap the wire that feeds your cig lighter, not actually plug it in. Mine worked fine.

    I went the LED route, but my knob runs off the lighter. You can run a laptop off it - a few neons will be fine. You know how you can plug a ton of crap into 1 plug at home? Same thing wiring in a car.

    neon lights can look cool if done properly and not turned on while driving

    interior ones are okay as long as your entire car isnt lit up, i used to have 2 under the seats and it looked cool, but ugh i hate seeing entire cars lookin like a jet driving down the street with liek 50 lights on

    yea my friend has 2 under his dash and thats what i wanted i didnt want my car to be lit up.. LOL and undercar neons are illegal here...
