From the way they explained it, it's just a simple walkaround for cars 14s and slower. So I'm assuming that the battery relocation / kill switch rule does NOT apply. Don't quote me on that one though.

What if you only wanna run autoX do you still pay 40 or just the $15???
Its still $40, sweet deal for all the runs you get.... We only had 4-6 cars at a time last night and everyone could have easily got 10+ runs in. I think I got 8-10.
somebody is going to get a head rub after you shave that mellon

HEy rage anything about friday night drifting? It would be awsome if they could.
If you go threw the quicker (slow car) lane and then run lower than 13.99... what will happen? will they kick you out?
Also, does anyone know FOR SURE about the battery relocation rule?
I asked the guy doing the tech a couple weeks ago and was told that even with cars runnign 14.00 and slower there needs to be a kill switch for the relocated batteries. So that answers that question.
I was pretty disappointed too. More holes in my trunk...sigh.
I just spoke to race city this morning regarding this... I told them this is really the only big complaint coming from most people. They're looking at getting this rule dropped for cars 14.00 and slower. Stay tuned.Originally posted by Chris88CL

the chances of them noticing this are pretty slim...unless you are poundin down like low 13's or better...I ran a 13.9 and no one said anything to meOriginally posted by Owned 2

you know, you all bitch about the battery kill switch but it doesnt really take much brain/resources to wire it up. also there are a bunch of places to install them without sticking them on the body so what exactly is the problem here?? safety is good no?
not necesarily. this took me under 5 minutes to hook up. get a spare tail light, drill a hole and you're done...(just dont drill extra needless holes like me )Originally posted by Chris88CL

This might not be an appropriate thread... but...
How does RaceCity deal with BMW's with the battery in the trunk stock?
Stock != relocated. If you move your battery to the front, you'll need a kill switch.

Yeah, I've just been more concerned with the people actually doing tech realizing that it was in the trunk stock. Doesn't sound like an issue though.

that would be so cool!!!
It's probably going to be a monthly thing, friday night drifting. Not sure if it's going to be a practice only setup, or a competition style setup with judging, points, and prizes. The SCC Calgary event will include a drifting competition in 2005, and participation requires you to have entered at least 2 of the Friday drifting nights.
I'll have more details before years end.
