yea there 127hp and 107 ft/lbs and i was suprised when the numbers that i got came up. I was thinking i would be getting 110 or so because everyone says boltons do virtually nothing.

i went to Master Automotive or i think its called Lightspeed Innovations now and its in red deer. It cost me $80 for 3 runs to find and average. They use a Mustang dyno there.

Was he running a load on the Mustang dyno? If so you can expect higher number on a dynojet.

But yeah did you have a baseline? If not then, you maybe don't know if your mods did anything...

Like do u mean did he ask what my car weighed, then yes he did. No i did not have a baseline. If my mods did nothing then my car must have been a factory freak or something.

no mustang dynos can simulate on road conditions by loading the roller. They produce lower numbers..

Factory freaks are known to exist. I produced at the whells what they rate it at the crank...

Chances are it's the dyno and not the car that's causing the higher than expected numbers. Or lower than expected in some cases. Dyno's are great for tuning, and for bragging rights but their numbers are not set in stone, way to many variables exsist.

yeah SCC just had an article on dynos.. I wouldn't really use them to say "hey man my car has more power than yours" because dyno to dyno they all say something different.. its pretty much only useful for tuning and comparing base runs to runs after modifications are made..
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Those numbers don't make sense... what gear were your runs done in?

Every mustang dyno I have ever seen gives lower than "expected" readings for most guys, assuming the eddy current was run through the rollers. The guy asked for the weight of the car, so I assume it was. No shit talking just curious, because indeed all dyno numbers have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Agreed. From what I've seen the Mustang dyno's do put out lower numbers. How accurate was the weight you entered? This is where it starts to get foggy. Plus, now I don't want to start another war with this guy but the operator of that dyno has shown in the past he has some uh..... strange procedures shall we say? All I'm saying is that claiming a car is a "factory freak" because it put out higher than factory crank numbers is kind of misleading. The variables involved in building the motor in any car are WAY more controlled than the variables involved in ANY dyno run.
