I had a buddy who whent to get his oil changed before heading to edmonton at mr lube, gets half way there and the engine seizes. Seems that they decided he didnt need new oil or something. So he got his motor rebuilt and then wrote the car off a month later, it was a pretty nice car too 92 prelude I think. To be honest though I would never let a lube jockey touch my car, I worked next to a mr lube and from talking to them for a while I realized A, that almost all of their employee's had no business working there and second that beyond oil changes you'd best go to a actual shop. We had them at least once a month wander over with a broken part, for example pulling out something on a honda tranny, that dropped a check ball inside the case which means that the tranny had to come apart.

To their credit I rember one time they forgot to fill some brand new chev diesel up with oil, the guy drove home and the next time he headed out he noticed no oil pressure, so he called them and the manager, who was over for a beer after work said that he told him to park his truck, get a rental and he would pay for it, and he was worrying all night about the guys truck. So you know some of the lube places actually give a crap. But still im never going to one.

i cant believe people actually still goto these places, you have a bunch of kids doing things as per their knowledge, i despise even just changing oil when the car has previously been to one of these places, such shotty work, damned plastic drain washers / mound of silicon spray.

if your honda dealership is booked up try an acura one, they will most likely bring in hondas if it's not too busy or booked up
