How would I go about doing so???
How would I go about doing so???
find out the lengths and angles you need, go to an exhaust shop and get some 3" madrel bent at whatever angles and lengths you need... go to home depot get soem rubber couplers and a bunch of 3" hose clamps... get a knn cone filter with a 3' hole, and put it all together.
2.8,... I can get one made for you

i think he would get an aftermarket one, but i dont know of any companies that make one for an 89 corsica
^^^ exactly
any corsica sites ive seen theyre all custom made ... so yeah, I'd have to do the same
You're gonna have to reseach how to swap out your current MAF sensor and put in the IAT or maybe it's a MAT (I believe that's what it's called),.... from the 3.1's. (on the side of the air box).
But anyways,... your stock MAF sensor is very restrictive,... it's a tube with a screen/grate in the middle and on the screen is a sensor,.... not a very cool set-up.
Maybe post on your corsica sites you've visited and see how to swap sensors,... cause your MAF sensor is I think 5 wires,... but the new sensor is only 2,... not sure what wires you need. or you could just mount the sensor elsewhere in the engine bay (probably where the most cold air is), but ask your corsica buddies if this'll cause a problem,.. then I can get a pipe for you.

k...i looked all up in there and there's 2 things i can see that restrict me from ripping it all out...
a) a small rubber tube at the base of the intake (closest to engine) that connects to the top of the block
b) the sensor on the AIR BOX its not MAF its 2 wires connected to the back side of the air box
if i could take some pics to show you i would but i cant damnit
anyways, can i work with this? a buddy told me the tube was just one of those anti pollution setup things, nothing important...and he said what you waid, to pull the sensor on the air box out and mount it wherever the air is cold enough......
That pcv tube attached to your intake from the block (valve cover),.. you don't even need that hooked up,.. just put a small filter on the block side.Originally posted by FoRn420

That is one main source that will gum up your TB,... when you engine runs hot,.. and you're low on oil,... the oils turn into gasses and recirc. into your intake,.... and when you car cools down,.. all that reside on your TB gums stuff up.
I know that sensor on the air box is not a maf,... just wasn't sure what system you were running,... some older 2.8's had that big ass sensor inline between the box and the TB.
You should come over to my place one day and look at my set up,... we basically have the same motor.

we'll have to set something up sometime then
and perhaps then you can see what i need for a pipe and you can hook that up too but ya dont have to...
but it would be nice to see your setup and give me some ideas
pm me when yer available sometime and we'll fingure sumthin out
YOu basically have to same motor as me,.. so hense the set-up could be almost Identical!
And if so,.... It'll be a flash to have a pipe made up,... we'll just replicate mine.
