PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP. Fuel problem.

My '01 Nissan Sentra is having issues. I got really low on gas one night and then my "Service Engine Soon" light came on and the car started skipping out real bad. It is just missing real bad, it won't accelerate properly, the jumping is worse when I am stopped and even worse when I have the AC on. I have been told that it sounds like I am dragging a cylinder but have not been told how to fix it....ANY SUGGESTIONS??????????

Have you tried filling up with gas? lol, sorry.

could be a cylinder, but it might also be something simple like a fuel pump or o2 sensor.

I filled it up right after it started doing it. Thanks for the BRILLIANT advice though! Ha Ha! How would I check for each of the problems? Fuel pump? Cylinder? or O2 Sensor?

Sometimes you get dirty gas. In that gas, sometimes there is sediment (read sand and shit). When you get low on fuel, the fuel pump has no choice but to pump that shit into the fuel line.

1. Your fuel filter should catach it. it could be pluged.
2. it fuxored your pump.
3. did you tighten the cap on the gas tank after you filled up? that is 9 times out of 10 why the CEL goes on.
4. take it to the dealer. if your car is a 2001, it should still have plenty of warrantee left.

when it gets low on gas it picks up all the crap on the bottum of the tank and sends it throgh the fuel sestem and stops up the injctors try fuel sestem cleaner if that doesn't work try cranking the car up and pulling off one spark plug wire at a time and find out which one is missing then pull the spark plug and see if it smells like gas if so change the plugs if not yu=ou have a clogged injectors

1. replace your fuel filter
2. buy that gimmick fuel injector cleaner stuff
3. warrantee
