You can buy I imagine the STi 13:1... 4wheeldrift / Fuji would prob know better than me.
Keep in mind changing the steering rack ratio drastically changes how a car handles. Little movement on steering input will now magnify.

One of the largest reasons I dislike the previous version Impreza is because it has a monstrous 4.0 turns from lock to lock. Then it's 3.0 on the current one, if I'm not mistaken. The MitsuBITCHY evo series has a mere 2.2 turns from lock to lock.
In rallying and more advanced driving on twisty roads, having a tighter steering rack helps immensely.
Is this for a make believe car?
I'm not purchasing anything. I'm simply curious if it can be done, because I think it's one of the most annoying features of the Impreza versus the Mitsu Evo cars.
you have to be kidding right? 4 turns lock to lock? do you even know anything about imprezas? the current standard wrx(GDA) is 3 turn end to end. the previous versions wrx and wrx sti type-r's were 3.2 end to end i think while the previous wrx sti type-RA was 2.5 end to end. rev-lab here in canada has a quick ratio 2.4 end to end steering rack.Originally posted by Mikko

2000impreza beat me to it.
Rev-lab in Toronto just released a quick ratio rack that makes it about 1 and 3/4 turns from centre to lock. It's about over $2g's to get it though w/o trading ur core.

I don't know what impreza's you've been driving, but the steering in my RS is plenty quick, even for hella tight slaloms. Of course, there's always room for improvement![]()
Drag racing is for fast cars. Solo 2 is for fast drivers.

From what I can tell, the north american imprezas have had 3.2 for the older imprezas, and now it's up to 3.0 for the current generation. In Europe it seems it was 3.9 turns from lock to lock on the old (which is what I'm rambling about) while the current gen here too has 3.0

How do you know I've never driven one? I have never driven an old school impreza, no, but I have driven other cars that have varying ammounts of steering rack ratios. While the ones with more turn felt better in one way, because they had no servo to interfering, the ammount of turning needed was very annoying. Even on the usual 3.0 I wish it was a fair bit tighter.
