I agree with ESPN games being better. I always liked the EA games but when I got ESPN for xbox and got used to it then got EA sports, I found the play control to be a lot better and the games to be a lot more realistic in EA sports.

EA sports gets kind of a cult following though, itll take several years of being way better before most people start to switch.

I've been a fan of Sega sports games since the time of Joe Montana Sports Talk Football for the genesis

I can't believe how many people blindly follow EA now without even giving Sega a chance.

NFL 2K series has owned Madden IMO for quite a few years now.

ESPN NHL was lacking a good franchise mode last year, but now that they've addressed that, I'd be willing to bet it's going to turn out to be a better and deeper game than EA this year. And for $30, how can you go wrong?

EA Realism?????? You aren't a cult guy, you are just uninformed and haven't palyed them back to back. All the major magazines and web sites rated ESPN NHL 2004 over EA NHL 2004. EA NHL 2004 was way too arcade-like. There was no flow as it was all abour big hits while the actual gameplay remained unchanged since NHL 2002. ESPN NHL 2004 was the closest simulation to NHL hockey that I've ever played. Just picked up ESPN NHL 2005 for $30.

Just picked up my copy yesterday from wal-mart for $27!!

I can't wait when EA 2005 comes out to compare. However comparing EA NHL 2004 with ESPN NHL 2K5, 2K5 blows it away. So smooth and the realism is amazing, and for such a low price its FANTASTIC!!!!!

This game is awesome...

I also have ESPN NFL 2K5 and that is just as good. Will also get the NBA title too haha

3 awesome games for the price of one and then some.
