Yea i would think you can get a bit but in might no leave you a good edge. I would use some tin snips or some power cutters.

They can cut through more than sheet metal. They are very strong and easy to use.
I used them to cut out the metal on my rear deck to install an oversized set of speakers and they were much easier to use than a jigsaw.
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

yeah, but i need the i guess versatility, of this tool, the cut doesn't have to be perfect but i need it to go where i want when i want, sheers would be very "blocky" i want the curves and stuff to be a smooth constant curve, but the actual cut can be filed and stuff.
you can be very curvy and smooth with tinsnips... you just have to plan out what you're doing first and cut it out in parts... remove the large chunks you don't need first so that you don't bind up in the tight corners
