Happy Birthday beyond.ca!
One month ago today, our "old hangout forum" started having some problems... performance issues, soap opera politics, intentional 3 hour shutdowns... which led me, Kenny, bol, and redec to start our own forums, beyond.ca!
Initially, this was going to be a small relatively private forum for us to organize cruises, meets, and events. We've grown very fast, beyond our wildest imagination (no pun intended). Within about a week, we hit 100 users just from word of mouth! (We've yet to spam or mass advertise...)
In one month's time, we reached 162 members, with a post count of 7826. That's an average of over *260* posts a day! We're now seeing averages of 450 posts daily, making this one of the busiest car forums in Alberta.
There's more content coming as well, we're working on putting together our web site, which will highlight some of our racing stories (Solo2, roadcourse, ProSolo) as well as project cars. Our first project, redec's Eagle Talon TSi AWD, will be the first official beyond.ca project car. The goal is a 12 second reliable daily driven beast.
We thank everyone who's here with us to make this an awesome hangout for car enthusiasts. And don't worry guys, we're not going to flip the off switch anytime soon! =)
