I just deleted 1.5 GB of files (2 movies), but Windows Explorer does not show an increase in free space. The files definitely are deleted and not in the recycle bin.
I'm running Windows 2000 and NTFS file system. Any ideas? Thanks.

I just stumbled onto the fix. I did a "Empty Norton Protected Files" on the recycle bin and that freed up 3.8 gigs of space!

while ure at it, disable norton protected recycle bin. its a nice idea, but absolutely useless.
