Please suggest a speaker amp

Right now i have Kicker 6x9's and MB Quart 4x6's in my car. Boths sets are unampped. I wana amp my speakers for better quality, but im gona probabaly get BOSTON Acoustics 6x9's soon. What amp should i get, how much power should i feed them? Should i get diff 4x6's? I always thought MB Quart has pretty good clarity. Should i not waste my time with the Boston Acoustics?

First thing, you need to check how many watts your speakers can handle. Somewhere on them there should be a wattage rating. That is probably going to be their peak watts. Look for RMS, that is what the speakers should normally operate at. Peak is what they can handle at max. Depending on these ratings, you can judge how many watt amp you would like. I don't know of many amp companies out there, but I do know that ALPINE is a great amp! Second, Boston Acoustics ARE GREAT SPEAKERS! and definetley worth considering! It all depends on your taste and sound likes. You do the deciding! Hope this helps...
