    Default welding aluminum.

I thought I would get a welder to put some piping together... unfortunately I borrowed a flux core gasless welder. I bought some aluminum pipe for a new intercooler thinking I would be able to weld it.. I quickly learned how to blase holes and scorch aluminum.

I was wondering for welding aluminum what is the best way to go for lets say.. errrm under 600.

    Thanks for any input.

Pre fit your pipes, and take the to a welding shop for welding, you will not be able to buy anything that will do a decent job for that kind of money..maxt

AeroTech is great, but pricey. You get some damn fine welds fer' yer' money tho. I have a few friends that weld AL but no one that does a great job...lol

hmmm is it possible to braise aluminum.. I have heard people talking about using oxy/acetaline..

hmmm anyone heard of this stuff they avertise stronger than parent metal and all you need is a propane torch.

Take it to any welding shop. I could do it for you if someone has a tig welder I can use. If you can wait 3 months I will do it for you. Or if you want to use mandrel bent steel pipes I will weld them up for you as soon as you want.
