Default Shipping part from USA to me with FEDEX... what should i expect?

What should i expect to be paying with brokerage fees and shit?

I did some searching here and from what i've read it sounds like people who've been charged from fedex just dont pay it. And i guess it just goes away?

    Any help?

btw - packed good are worth $800us

I got my goalie pads shipped here from a US , pads by themselves were 34 inches high, and about 10 inches width EACH... they put together a pretty big box, like the box can probably fit a front bumper itself

I ordered my exhaust through FedEx from California.
    A "$450US" item costed me $60.

I don't know if that helps.
    Fucking Murphy I'm wasted.

Makes me wonder why monkey's like myself even go on the internet when we're like this!

when oardering things from the US ask the shipper to write " Not for Resale" or "Gift" on the bill of ladding becuase you shouldn't be charged brokerage fees and shit on items not for resale

good luck and i hope you got some KY

You'll still get charged GST - which is what it looks like is the only thing some of these people are being charged with...

I got a package from Fedex 2 days ago and I just had to sign for it. If you're dealing with a private seller, instead of a commercial business, you can simply ask them to send it as a gift, which will get you past having to pay for duties and taxes.

that's gst, duties, brokerage and whatever else they'd like to charge. it was more like $120-ish or so.

so i got the package about two weeks ago...... and the dreaded letter came in the mail today.

stuff i bought was marked down as a total value of $230us + $110us for shipping. for a total of $340..... the total they used.... which is strange cause i had to pay duty and brokerage fees on their own dam shipping costs.... doesnt make sence but whatever. goods were really worth $800us but they helped me out abit

anyways.... so on the $340us purchase i need to pay:

    $30.04 gst
    $37.50 brokerage fee
    $2.63 tax of brokerage fee
    $5.50 disbursment fee
    $0.39 tax on disbursment fee

    grand total of $62.15us = $76.06cdn.

so take it for what its worth..... goods were marked as honda body kit

What happens if i dont pay it? What if I "didnt receive the item" since they didnt take a signature, they simply threw it on my step.

Chances are they have some sort of a black list to prevent this sort of scamming.
