Default New to Calgary; where is the best entertainment/food/etc?

Hi, I am just in the process of moving to Calgary (sorry leg-humpers, I'm not a girl)....and would like a general idea of some interesting places to go in town.
What are some good restaurants, any good car shops, used CD/DVD shops, movie theatres, etc.?
Also any fun entertainment places, like go-karts, mini-golfing, pool, bowling, etc.?

I'm in the NE Abbeydale area of town, is there anything near me of interest?

    NE..well

you can go go-karting as Cav pointed out. Its on 16th Ave. go Westbound 16th Ave from where you are. you'll see it on the Right hand side after you pass Barlow Trail. (Tuesdays are 1 dollar per lap. you have to get a 5 Dollar membership though ( it lasts one year) )

Bowling.. theres this place up by Fanny's Fabric (Behind Ikea and Safeway and stuff) I don't remember the address..I'll find it for you though. (I believe its Tuesday/Thursday after 9 and its 2.50 a game and 2.50 for shoe rental..I don't rememnber)

Pool, thres lots of places..but I like to head up north west a bit and play at Mikes. its on Mcknight and Edmonton Trail I think.

well anyways Welcome to Calgary man. Hope everything goes well for you here.

It's a mall located at Glemore and Mcleod.

Plenty of Casino's. Closest to you would be 16 Ave and Barlow Trail.

    Welcome 2 Our Beatiful City

Ricky Bobs is just outside of town, good paintball/lasertag/go carting. As for foods, some good priced places are BP, red lobster and The Olive Garden.
