    Default Surveillance Cameras

    So, here's the story:

I have the idea that my roommate is stealing from me, and I want to catch him in the act. I'd like to buy one of those pinhole cameras that are always being advertised on teh Internet and such, cuz I don't want to order it and have to wait a week.

Does anybody know of a place in Calgary that sells them?

There's a spy shop downtown. Used to be in Penny lane, might've moved tho.

I don't want to spend $500, those ones on the Internet go for ~$100. It's more than just the money though, what about stuff that I don't notice all the time. Who knows what might be missing.

Kicking his ass might be a problem without proof. What if it's not him?

Wouldn't just a web cam work? Just the guy being in your room should be proof enough for an ass kicking.

Well I don't know how you feel about having a teddy bear in your room but Radio Shack sells something called Teddy Cam and it is $200 . . .

I have heard that you can set up web cams so they start recording once they detect motion. This way you could set up your computer, and if anyone came into the room, it would record right away. Might be something to look into, and maybe a bit more economical.

Ya, just use a webcam. I've used my logitech one to catch a roommate stealin from me. Simple to use, just hide it, start the software that comes with it, and wait. It records whenever it detects movement.
