    Default Advantages/Disadvantages Turbo Setups

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a setup like #2?

From logic, just accessibility. A disadvantage might be heat...

One advantage would be that if you put a little scoop or somethign on the hood right above the turbo intake on #2, you would get alot better airflow straight to the turbo with that filter on there, but oen thing I can see that I dotn like is the master brake cylinder is right there and if you create enough heat that thing might just melt on you :S:S, so Id wrap it or coat it if I were you. Other then that I dont know. #2 looks nicer :P

#2 looks cleaner (the setup, not the engine)

that brake cylinder (as mentioned earlier) could pose a problem.

lower cg, looks like less bends in plumbing but worse accessablity

    # 2 easier fab. people will not ask where turbo is.

setup one appears to have a sidemount IC, or at least a front mount fed from a single side

Setup two looks like it has a more traditional front mount.

For this reason alone id go setup two.

if your custom fabbing ig get the turbo as far forward and as close to the ground as possible and use a normal FMIC.

It looks like setup one is running a MAF and setup 2 isn't.
