I'd get a civic hatch over that. More reliable, more fun to drive, better fuel economy, better looking, more aftermarket available, etc

Don't be so quick to knock the V6 firebird/camaro. Sure, its not that fast in a straight line but they handle exceptionally well for a "muscle" car, the 3.8L V6 is a proven, quite bulletproof motor. They're fairly reliable and get decent mileage to boot.
Drag racing is for fast cars. Solo 2 is for fast drivers.
From the reviews I've read of the car, the owners thought it felt like the car was going to come apart when cornering (due to massive chassis flex). And I think it also has a solid rear axle.
Buuuuut, a V6 us most likely lighter and perhaps lower than a V8, which should be good for handling.

bah even some of the v8s suck, my dad has a 1980 4.9L turbo transam, from what i hear from firebird enthusiasts that this engine is a POS
