    That's the older brothers.

The younger brother has the same 240sx coupe convetible in red.

    The father drives the 350z.

They have some sort of tie-in with Nissan. Business wise.

there is no way in hell that i would take a g35 coupe over a 350z. yeah the g35 is sweet, but imo there is no comparison to the 350z. especially in orange!

all i can think of is the mad power that you could get out of that engine... HKS is prototyping a kit that is supposed to make 400hp easy.

I like the 350Z more imho. after i saw the white one a while back i was awestruck about how nice it actually looks in reality

I went to look at both cars today. I'm in love with the Nissan 350Z. I like it better than my car. They only require a $1000 deposit but there is a 12-month waiting list. The salesguy said there will be a convertible version out next year and there are already 2 people on the waiting list for the convertible. It might even be a hard top convertible. As for the non-convertible version, there are 36 orders and they allocate 2 per month.

I wanted to test drive the G35 coupe but they said that people were only allowed to test drive the sedan and that the one on the lot could only be test driven by people which placed orders. The salesguy said that there is a $2500 deposit which is unbelievably high and that they allocate 10 per month. There is a 6-month waiting list and they've presold 50-something which also seems a little too high.

If the 350Z becomes a hard top convertible, what is the point of the coupe then?

But man, I would buy one for sures! I love hardtop convertibles haha its like 2 in 1 !!!!

They gave me a price list for each:
    Nissan 350Z
    Performance Model (manual 6-speed)
    $45,850
    $49,250 w/navigation

    Touring Model (automatic)
    $45,850
    $49,250 w/navigation

    Trackpack model (manual 6-speed)
-400lbs lighter, Brembo brakes, alloy wheels
    $47,450

    Infiniti G35 Coupe
    Auto $45,000
    Auto w/navigation $48,400
    Auto w/Performance $46,000
    Auto w/navigation &performance $49,400

    Manual 6-speed $47,000

Yeah I was thinking that too and asked the salesguy why? He said that it was a 6-speed and not a 5-speed, which is the reason why it cost more.

the salesman also should have mentioned that the 6speed model comes with the brembo brakes, which im sure factors into the premium over the auto.

I like the back lights of the G35 much better than that of the 350Z, but I'd still take the 350Z, lines just appear a little more aggresive to me.

They gave you the wrong info. Trackpack weight is only 10 kg (22 lbs) lighter than the Performance weight. This is from the Nissan Canada website.
