    Default FB RX7 Convertible?

I was always positive that Mazda never made a 1st gen RX7 in convertible form....but I just found one for sale, and now I'm not sure...

There's nothing that says it is or isn't factory, but if this is a custom job, it's VERY well done. That whole rear deck would need to be custom fabricated...

It's a conversion, unless it's some sort of j-spec oddity. I own a first gen rx7 and have done a lot of reading on them and have only encountered conversions for convertables.

It's also either a 78-79 Rx7, one of the first two years in production; so who ever actually owns that or is going to buy it will have a nicely modded car.... I jsut hope it still has a rotary engine in really really good working condition. At least that's what I think.

I don't know about any conversions done from new, that'd be up to the owner of a car...

As for the second gen convrt. As far as Iknow the second gen RX7 was the only one to have a factory convertable... and I quite like it!

It almost looks like they chopped of the roof and then fitted over the rear compartment. That looks exaclty like my stock sunroof on the back.
