FS 1997 Yamaha V-Max Mountain Max 800cc

well, i don't know how much action this thread will receive, but i thought i would try it anyway.
this is the only thing that i have ever driven that has scared the crap right outa me:
my 1997 V-Max MM 800
it is red in color and in absolute mint condition
roughly 3,343.1 original km
i have seen many of the 800's of the older years with 15-30,000 kms on them and still running fine
the car is in storage at the moment
everything works perfectly on the sled
been babied it's whole life by me
2nd owner (first owner was my cuz who only put 550 km on the sled)
was bought from Yamaha in 2000 as left over stock for $15,000
my cuz got it still in the crate
it has been stored in our heated garage all it's life with it's original Yamaha V-Max tarp (worth approximately $200)
136 inch long track
1 1/4 paddle track
completely stock
heated handle bars
xtrememly rare model of that style
very clean with no rips in seat or major scratches on body
oil changed regularly
accelerates faster than a jet!
never raced

i do not know xactly how much to ask for the sled because it is older and with low km's and knowing that it was approximately 15 G's brand new in 97 i will just throw a price out here...

this is one thing that i really do not want to part with, however i am gettin older and am moving to Calgary shortly and do not own a truck so i have no use for it anymore. i am open to any offers whatsoever because i honestly do not know what the sled is worth. i have been told to as 12 G's for it but i feel the price i am asking is already high enuf. hopefully i will get sum replies about the sled on here about what price i should be askin for it. will consider trade on any other yamaha. i do have a late 80's Yamaha Enticer that is black and just recently had the engine rebuilt and is in amazing condition.

You might want to lower the price just a bit man. I just picked up a 2002 RMK 800 for $5000.

You might want to correct that part about not burning any oil.
Did you know that a 2-stroke engine does burn oil?

k guys thanx, this is what i needed to hear
the reason why i am askin so much for her is coz of the rareness and condition of the sled.
it has been babied so much and hardly driven.
i have actually been told by the people that have seen her to not take less than 10 G's, that is why i started the price of there.
Still, u cannot compare or Yamaha snow machines to Polaris's.
there is honestly no comparison.
this is the Rolls Royce of snow machines.

Also, will the "tarp" (I presume you mean cover) go with the sled? And, do you have any riding gear that would be included in the sale, particularly a helmet? Please provide pics of all of those as well. Many thanks.

yes my bad, sorry i do mean cover. my dad and i still sled as well as my mom and sis so i don't think we would be able to part with any of our helmets, sorry. i will have pics as soon as i can. i am quite anxious to sell it because of me moving.

Its a 97 and was baught in 2000 out of the crate? Change oil in a 2 stroke? doesnt burn any oil? 10K? 800 for a cover? what does your car being in storage have to do with anything? and if you cant take this sled with you when you move how are u going to take anything in trade with u? this is the stupidist add I have ever seen. Do you know what a snowmobile looks like?
