    Default MAC Help

With all this talk about being friendly how the hell do I gain access to the floppy drive and do a directory listing?
WTF?!? no command line - buttons confuse me

The iMAC states there are 8 files on the floppy but only list one folder for the floppy and only shows 1 file ?

Any MAC advocates here? I need help in access some graphic files for my dad. The macs at U are bunked If I could pop over to someone house to retrieve the file it would be great!

With the old macs I've been using as soon as you pop the floopy disk into the fd drive, a fd icon should show up on your desktop with a folder listing all of its contents.

The imacs I'm not sure how it works. The G3G4's I've been using for the last 12 month are only equipped with cd-writers haha

The FD icon only shows one file which is the problem as when I insert the disk it states there are 8 files. Any other suggestions?

Nope, no errors. Only one file from the FD icon folder shows up.
The files are there as on load up status as it scan it runs through 8 files.

Problem solved with the help from D'z nutz and his co-worker.

I guess the files are filtered.

I have to say the G4's are interesting. I was playing with one this morning trying to get my files off the disk.

Typing on the keyboard I have to say is odd and offcourse using only the mouse to navigate
