anyone??
goodluck
Not sure which models you guys are referring to but I have a set of 3 8W6 and they've held up for so long with no probs.
In fact, I've never heard any problem with the *W6 series with all my "SPL" friends.
yo man just put some silicone there.. it should work just as good since ur filling up the whole in the speaker..

talk to the people at the A&B in sunridge they will gie you the name of the store wich does all the warantye work for them, the speaker rubber soround can be repaired, heck the shop im talking about can rebuild a whole speaker if need be, try them and see how that goes

i just called and they said they dont repair speakers
Infinity is far better than JL.....
So is RF.
ummmm....not really...
anyone else agree with me on this one??
depends what infinty speaker and what jl.. plus future shop sells the refurbished shit.. and the liek to rip ppl the fuck off
yo man.. i dont think there is a place to fix that whole..
either buy a new one.. or just patch it up with silicone
and maita they are talkin about the speakers not the subs..

umm....XR's are pretty $$....its pretty good stuff, i think it could put most infinity stuff to shame
Well if you wanna go high end, why not just get focals.....
i am thinking i shouldve done that now...
Did you install the speakers yourself? It looks like someone put a screwdriver through it... If you didn't install it I would bitch like mo'fu to get a new speaker.Originally posted by inspire
i have jl xr series front speakers, and there is a hole in the front left speaker, can it be repaired? i bought these about a month ago from A&B sound, and i have warranty, will the warranty cover this?!?!?!
If you installed it your probably screwed...
you wouldn't rip the surround from turning the speakers up, you would blow up your vc. who installed them?? if a shop installed them try hasseling them and tell them they put the hole there and if it was you warrenty won't cover you because you are probably not a licensed installer.
well....i bought my speakers at A&B sound and got them along with my deck installed at soundsurround
bey u the guys at soundsaround did it
they installed a dekc for me.. and shit they did the shittiest jonb.. so i uninstalled it and installed it myslef.. the guys at a&b do nice install jobs..

blowing speakers doesn't ever mean there is visible damage. just a saying. when you blow a speaker, it means your voice coil has burned. unless you are seriously over powering a subwoofer whose cone actually has some weight momentum, moving full excursion, surrounds dont separate or tear like that one did.
next time, go to future shop, get some infinity's with a performance plan. that way you can burnem up and bringem back.
