    Default Microcell/Rogers on my Cellphone?

Hey guys, quick question.. (keep in mind Im not a very cellphone-literate person!!)

My current phone plan is signed with Rogers, and you know how when you turn on your phone, it says "Rogers" as kind of a desktop on your phone? well, the last few days, when I turn it on, it says "Rogers", then it disapears, and shows "Microcell", disappears, and then "Rogers" again.. it does this three or four times, and then stops at "Rogers" finally.. I didnt think you can actually change what it says on my phone, because it might be something the Rogers network controls. But anybody have any idea why this might be happening? I mean, it doesnt bother me or anything, but just seems a lil weird.

Fido phones will say Rogers when they switch to the Rogers network and Rogers phones will say either Fido or Microcell when they switch to the Fido network.

So, if I stick my Fido sim card into a Roger's phone, will it work?

If the Rogers phone is unlocked then yes. This would always have worked.

You can manually change to the Rogers network if you want but there is no point. Just make sure the phone is in automatic network selection and let the phone pickup the network. If one dies it will pick up the other.

Because Fido is still it's own brand so it will only say Rogers if it switches to the Rogers network.

What I meant was, now that Fido & Rogers are combined, would Fido sim cards work on locked Rogers phones... but, I guess not.
