If you never followed the case at all, you wouldn't give a fuck...but if you were intrigued by the interviews, findings etc. you would be interested in the out come.

I followed it enough to know what was going on and the evidence that was against him. I kinda thought he would be found guilty and I'm glad he was. Kinda interesting that when they polled the jurors on the 'special circumstances' they all just gave their yes vote without hesitation.

Think that might make the prosecution seek the death penalty.

True, but unless I were at the trial, or it were completely televised i wouldn't really trust the information i was getting, seeing as how the media wants it to be an "entertainment-like" news story to get ratings.

    Orenthal did it.

There isn't really anythin important about it, I haven't really been following it, but he's accused of killing his wife who was pregnant with his child (or did they already have a kid), so I suppose it could be an interesting precedent concerning pre born murder or whatever...but its not like they double is sentence because he killed two people instead of 1, or 1.5

I feel kind of dumb for asking this question, but is there any special reason that this case has caught the attention of international headlines around the world?

I really haven't been keeping up!

That's exactly why....he killed his wife while she was pregnant with his child. Sad but it made the case that much more intriguing. Also the fact that he was quite the dumbass when he was asked the same question more than once. Gave different answers every single time.

And yep...OJ did do it no question.

I started following the case when I read an article about the law in the States and his wife's pregnancy. They charged him with 2 separate deaths, a complicated thing since technically the child wasn't alive (according to most laws). The worry was if he was convicted on the murder of his child then convicted on his pregnant wife, it sets a huge precedent that the child was a living human being before it was born.
