I got a ticket coming back north on Highway #2 just buy High River. So I guess to try for a reduction I have to go to the Okotoks court house. Is it the same procedure as it is in downtown calgary? Will they still do demerit reductions?

anyone?
Call the number on the ticket and find out for yourself!
or just even call 266-1234 and talk to an officer there. they should know. Doesn't hurt to try and figure it out yourself.

Was it RCMP or CPS? if it was RCMP i'm pretty sure you'll have to go to Okotoks to fight it, but i'm not 100% positive....
RCMP.. I know I have to go there, but would it be the same process in asking for a reduction? anyone with experience?
same procedure, Okotoks still has an Alberta court house, same as Calgary, the building will be different but it should still have the same system
LOL, personally I have harder times fighting tickets in Okotoks than Calgary. I got this one liqour ticket in Okotoks, had a full 6 pack of MGD in a cooler bad sitting on the back seat. Got pulled over because cop thought I was speeding, I asked to see radar, cop gave me ticket for liqour not being in the trunk.
In my Probe I had a trunk full of stereo equipment and I didn't want glass to break. The guy at the court didn't care though, didn't even give me a reduction. Had to pay it all.
But I have had 1 ticket thrown out, it was failure to stop for traffic control device. I didn't even show for the court, went down at like 12pm and they threw it out without me being there.
having liquor on your backseat is not illegal, i'm pretty sure that you can have open liquor in the front seat as long as your not drinking. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure.
