turbo changing a 1988 bmw 325

well im looking towards turbo changing my 1988 325
i was just wondering if theres any kits out there which i'm pretty sure there isn't
and is there a better way?

dont bother, my buddy is turboing his 528e and hes paying upwards of $20k for everything
but only because hes building the motor first, and doing it correctly

PM M10-Power on here, he's been turbo-ing BMW's for a long time. He should be able to point you in the right direction!

i ment to say hes paying huge amounts of money to build the engine, so its stronger, and lowers the compression to withstand the turbo, when added.
he is turbo ing his car the safe, but expensive way
on an older car, it costs more

Your best bet is to look into some of the BMW forums. I am told you can get some big power out of that age of BMW at a reasonable cost.

I know Toronto has a big forum but I cannot remember the name. Try a google.

Depending on your buget it may not be as big of a cost as some think.

I don't know of any bolt on turbo kits for any 3 series bmw. From everything I have ever seen they are all custom. I could make you a turbo kit for it if your serious. Your gonna be looking around $5000-$6000 depending on what parts you choose to use.

Perhaps if you post more information, what your looking to achieve, what your capable of doing (building it yourself to paying someone to do it for you)

What is your budget? What do you plan on using the car for?

I don't think there are kits, the parts are available and some custom work is definately required.

Turbocharging isn't something to go into lightly.
