Default BUYERS BEWARE! Western Canada shipping delays!

As many of you might of already of known, all shipments from the US to western canada go directly to Vancouver where's it's sorted then shipped to is destination. The USPS no longer ship packages to their respective cities in western canada. This has caused huge delays.

Here's my shipment you guys can see for yourself, It's frustrating so see items take forever to get sorted!

    Item Number: 77122953783

Any of you Albertians experiencing the long delays?

i ordered an anime boxset from eBay (Early September) and it was sent directly from factory in China ... still haven't received it as of yet.

It's either been lost or super backlogged.
the ebay seller and i have been racking out brains trying to wait this thing out; he might just have to send me another one :P

They used to send it to calgary to get processed but now they send it to van city.

There used to be about 5 customs centres, now there is 2.

I ordered a clutch and BOV from the US and it was shipped through the regular mail system and it arrived after 9 days. It was stuck in customs for 7 of those 9 days though which was a bummer, but it got here so SOME stuff is getting through with relatively short delays.

What Canada Post says (On Oct 18):

    http://www.canadapost.ca/business/co....asp?prid=1026

I don't know what you mean about USPS not shipping to respective cities in the west causing the delay. You can still ship by USPS, but it will sit in customs due to the backlog. UPS right now is the way to go, even though they usually suck.

Yeah it's hit or miss, I ordered stuff 2 weeks ago and I recieved them a few days ago but stuff I ordered in Oct is still at customs. Exchange rate is so good that I'm willing to wait.

I heard about the backlogs, but I've had 3 packages come through in the last month. None of them took longer than 8 business days from the date of shipping, all went USPS. It must be hit or miss. I've been lucky I guess.
Got an air filter box, set of tail lights, and a shift boot, 2 of the 3 were EBay sales.

I heard UPS is on strike now as well. Might only be in Ontario...found this out at work cause we send a lot of packages to Ontario via UPS.

If UPS is on strike nationwide that's gonna slow down a lot of people's orders as well.
