    Default EG vs S2K.........

    Hi i raced my friends s2k wit my eg.. i have a b18c-5 motor with basic bolt ons he has the same mods.. we raced a few times in the end its about the same speed but on the high end like 180-200kms he starts to pull.. we tried a rolling start from like maybe 80kms he pulls right away.. but we only tried that once. but iam gonna try again once i get my car a full tune up. but by then he will have more things dun to his car
    anybody have a eg or ek that raced s2k with diffrent endings???

    have you dynoed your civic? if so whats it running?

    good shit being able to keep up to an s2k.....however youve prolly spent just as much as an s2k is worth on your civic to do it!

    Wasnt this the civic that was for sale a while ago?
    And why do u have Saskatchewan plates if you're from victoria?

    nope never dyno it yet iam gonna do it in the summer after i do full tune up and few more mods

    I have a S2K and I raced EK and EG w/ Type R motor.
    With the EG, it had 98 Spec (210HP) w/ ATS LSD and we are tied until the end of 3rd but then there are cars in front so we have to stop.
    I also try it with EK with 96 Spec w/ Mugen header & exhaust and spoon ECU and he was faster off the line but after the end of 2nd gear I caught up and start to pull away.

    ya me kinda the same he pulled like end off 3rd when we were goin like almost 200km..

    that may be tru .. n one good reason why i dont wanna put to much work into my EL .. rather save the money n get somethin luxurious n faster ..

    No way you'd have to spend 30 G on a civic (including the car) to make it as fast as an S2000 stock...

    ya u should be able to do it with like under 20g's and buyin car
    like the same as mine for sure=)

    no but u can get an s2k around 30K and including the civic and all the mods im sure its pretty close in the end!

    I am a proud S2K owner, but honestly with doing the right thing you don't need 30G to beat a S2K. Plus you can buy a S2K for a little over 30G anyway.
    Example, buy a EG, Strip the interior, proper suspension setup and a Type R JDM 98 Spec engine and tranny. add some cams, Spoon head gasket, and Hondata you should beat a S2k off the line but will be caught up again at 3 or 4 gear becasue of displacement.

    yup this is all true..i was amazed on the outcome of ricerockets eg..and i am sure when properlt tuned his eg will be a killer for sure
    I think I finally found a ride I like
