i have a 12" box already, used to have a 12" type s before, im looking to get another 12" sub that can handle ~250Watts RMS, preferably 12" so i can use my box, if you have another size wit box that would work too, but looking to keep as much trunk space as i can

not looking for anything over $100

pm me what you have, the specs (rms, max, brand, etc), and contact info (msn or phone #), thanks

They are some of the best you can get...even their lower end is really good.

k ive decided against the mtx after reading a few reviews, apparently only the 8000 series is worth looking at....how is an elemental designs sub compare to the infinity kappa perfect 12.1....which sub would i b looking at on the eD line ~250rms?.

Do you need a Single 4 Ohm Sub or Dual 4?

I have a Polk Audio EX-II 12 inch sub single 4 ohm... Specs says 150 rms.. I'm using a 220 watt rms @4 ohm amp on it currently and it is easily taken and sounds very nice

Also have a MTX 8000 12inch newer version sub... 400 RMS..

The Type R 12 is rated at 300rms btw

a entry level eD sub will probably sound better than the kappa perfect.

and i cant see how the type r is 500 rms? even if it is dvc its 300 rms per voic coil. someone is lying to you.

i believe you should give the sub its reccommended rms. less would/could damage the voice coils.

I don't think an entry level is better than a Kappa, but the mid and upper level trim is much better.

^^ well ive heard the entry level, sounds good, same car, almost same setup, same song, definatly on par or better than my kappa perfect but then again my perfect is in the wrong box lol.

my mistake, read the 15" Type r specs rather than the 12", k so 300rms sounds alrite for me, hmm i might jus take the type R then...$100 for one seems like a very decent price 2 me

    I FIXED MY TYPE S!!!

turns out that the terminal wires were burning out, had a slight blackness i noticed, so i unsoldered them, cut off like 2mm worth of the wire so all the blackness was gone, and then resoldered back onto the terminals, and presto as good as new, thanks to all for offering what u had but i don't need anything anymore
