    Default good hiking areas around calgary

    I'm looking for some good places to go hiking this summer..im talking long day hikes in and around banff and calgary...post what yah got!

    sulfur mountain is an easy ~2hr hike.
    you can do Johnston Canyon + inkpots and it will take you 4-5 hrs.
    I'm planning to do the glacier hike by Lake Louise this coming summer and go down to Waterton Lakes for a weekend hike.

    Prairie View lookout is a GREAT hike. ~4 hrs to climb about 3600ft to a point where there is a 270 degree view.

    It starts at Barrier Lake on HWY 40 in Kananaskis.
