Remote starter remote?

My friend broke her remote starter that came from the factory with her 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Chrysler said they don't have a remote for it or something. Is there any such thing as a universal remote? or would she have to buy a whole new remote starter? if so, who sells them and how much?

yah i would also like to know if theres a universal remote that can be programmed.
i think i saw something at walmart once but i think it was only for certain starters.
