Lemeiux is the greatest, EVER!

He scored in the Gretzky era, scored in the clutch and grab era, no 37 year old can dominate the game like he can......definitely the smartest......if he was healthy during the course of his career,I honestly believe he would be challenging Gretzky for his great scoring records

Lemieux doesn't skate! He's just the luckiest guy in the world because the puck just finds a way to get to him. Just watch a game. He just stands around for the most part, and a lot of guys won't touch him when he's screening the goalie

He doesn't need to skate, as a matter of fact, he never practices. He just goes to the game and plays, thats how good he is.

Lemieux's a pretty strong guy you know...he can hold his own against people who try to push him off. It looks like he doesn't skate much because he seems to know where the puck will be. Nobody has had a better effect on their linemates than him...remember John Cullen?

No Gretzky is the greatest ever, for that reason. Who won more cups, who influenced hockey more???

Is Lemieux more skilled??? YES

But tell me something, if you were able to pick one of them for a 15 year contract to build a franchise, who would you pick??? Lemieux would have a bigger impact when he plays, but the fact that Gretzky was able to play every season and most the games makes him a better player to have in your organization.

I think that Gretzky made the most use of his intelligence and his demunitive body more than anyone else. He would've been way more lethal had he been as big as Lemieux or Forsberg. I don't think cup rings dictate how good of a player you are though. I'm still putting my vote for Lemieux as the most productive player (on a per game basis), but Gretzky as the smartest. Who's the greatest??.......me.

Really though Brett Hull said that he would like to end his career with the Dallas Stars. Since he is a free agent at the end of this season( from what I have read in the Hockey News)maybe maybe he'll go back to the DALLAS STARS.
But the Stars will have to give up quit a bit!
