Thumbs up Cigar Smokers In Calgary

I'm pretty new to this cigar art thing. I was hoping one of you could direct me to a good site to learn as much as possible.

Also wondering where you suggest buying cigars and supplies in Calgary? I have done a web search but came up with very little. Any help would be awesome! Thank you!

The current place I visist is the store in Willow Park.

i wouldnt consider myself an expert but i do enjoy cigars...there is a magazine called cigar aficionado that specializes in cigar knowledge and is a pretty cool mag... its kind of pricey but if your looking for good info its a good place to start.

'Philies' are my favorite brand of cigars and they are cheap too. I buy mine from Willow Park Chocolate and Cigars.

You have to keep them in moderation though, too much can be pretty bad for you.

All you need to know is that most cigars are designed to be puffed every 1.5 minutes. The best place I've found to smoke is at the Crowchild Inn (?), just get a sprite and chill. The citrus in the sprite will prevent pasties. Also, don't drink and smoke. If you go too hard it will knock you flat on your ass.

I smoke strictly Cuban, but I've been biased ever since I went there.

International Cigars & Pipes @ 530-8th Ave. SW (Across from Penny Lane Mall) has the best prices and the best service! Ask for Chico, he's the owner.

What do you pros recommend for a good humidor? I noticed you could get them in plastic, wood, glass, and stainless steal. Would not these different materials effect the taste?

As long as they are lined with spanish cedar, a humidor can be made from any material.

As long as you buy from a reputable store, you should be OK.
Fake cigars is what buddies bring home from Cuba and Dominican when they buy on the black market to save money....
