I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's on the outside of the Stampede Corral.

I had been thinking about this one for a while. Because I had seen these before, but I couldn't remember where. Just a few hours ago I got a message from a friend who I had last seen for dinner at Glencoe club, which made me think of the answer; The Ranchman's Club, I drove by it and they're up there. The design is their logo if I'm correct.

Bang on, I was kind of shocked to find that that building was that old (1913).

Me too, but it makes sense. The Pre-WWI was last era where land ownership was really associated with power and aristocracy. While we didn't have it proper aristocracy in Calgary, the closest thing we did have were wealthy landowners and ranchers. I think they never did as well after the war, and this was before Oil and Gas. I guess what I'm saying is that the Ranchman's club couldn't have been built any later.

Also, decorative features on buildings in this style weren't very popular after the first world war; many building under construction in 1914 were finished after the war, but these features were left blank. There are buildings at the UofA like this.
