Default Silverhill Acura or Northwest Acura ?

Deciding where to take my 91 Integra for service. Any info about each would be great.

    Thanks

Silverhill sold me a badly dented radiator, then actually argued that I should be happy with what I got since it was better than what I had before...

Northwest has been good for me, not the cheapest but they have helped me out in past emergencies and quickly! Sometimes that's worth a premium.

With a car that old, I wouldn't go to either for service. Just take it to a Honda specialist.... I've heard good things about Hu's Auto... He was a ex-dealer mechanic for Honda.

Yeah Northwest did my clutch awhile ago and didn't tighten the cable enough. It slipped off completely and I had to get a tow back their a couple of dayz after the work waz done.

    Cool.

Thanks for the insight. I also called some import specialist company on 17th ave sw (west towards glenbrook area)
and they quoted me a decent price.

I will call Hu's and see too. Anyone else recommend some places that dont charge an arm and a leg?

im looking for a timing belt & water pump done + a tune -up.

    I hate them both.
I'm generally ok with Silverhill although i had a bad experience there once, and they are never able to help me out in a pinch.

Northwest has been unreliable in my experiences, although they are cheaper and have always come through for me when i need them. (ex. emergency services, and warranty claims)

Unfortunately, i have to say i have been diasappointed by both dealers on numerous occasions.
If i had to recommend one - talk to Steve Foster at Northwest, he has been great and is the only reason i keep going to northwest.

p.s. I have also heard good things about Hu's.

Did they change your oil? Sometimes the filter will drip a bit after a change if they don't wipe it off. It is possible they didn't tighten your valve cover bolts properly. This happened to me when I took my B16 del sol to T&T once. Some of the bolts were only handtight and synthetic oil loves leaks.

According from all my friends experience .. NW acura is slightly better .. or should say .. not many good experience from silverhill ..

but .. again .. depends on who you deal with, say there are 12 salesperson .. 6 are good .., 6 are bad .. your chance is 50/50 !

I got not bad service from both ( but damn ... the sales keep asking " will you buy today ... ? no ? next week ? Next month ? etc ... )

My gf and few of her friends got terrible experience at silverhill ...

I didnt change my oil, i checked my valve cover, there doesnt seem to be any leaks there. I am gonna have to take a closer look tonight to see if anything got loose maybe an oil pan plug or the filter, i hope they didt crack my oil pan since my car is lowered.
