It looks like they wanted to make the Impreza resemble the Legacy. Which is not an insult. the 05 legacy is sexy. But the impreza is for a different market
I love the 04/05 imprezas, well not as much as my GC8 though
Also it looks like the hoodscoop looks thinner. and then there is that new grill.
But we'll have to wait and see when it is official release. There has been more than enough talk on this subject on NASIOC.com

I agree about getting rid of the center grill, it looks Alfa-Romeo'ish right now. Without it, I think it'd be the sexiest post-GC8 Impreza

no man without the center grill it would lose a lot of its agressiveness, i'm not sayin i like the front end, but it would look worse (i.e less sporty, more like a family car) if they took of that center piece IMO (kinda like the legacy shown above)Originally posted by Chim
