How many ohms can you run the amp? how many ohms are your speakers rated at? This will decide if you can run parrallel or not.

You'll have to read the manual on that one.... It's either use R- and L+, or R+ and L-. Basically it involves using on polarity on each channel. Make sure your amp is bridgeable.

It is possible when hooking up more then one speaker to an amp. wiring them in parallel or series makes the difference. Series = more power + harder on the amp.

After that display of lack of knowlege, I recommend your nearest stereo shop does the setup for you

well...i am here on a forum seeking answers to my questions. I am hoping to learn about things from people who are knowledgable in this field. I want to be able to learn what all the controls do. I am glad there are people like D'z nuts who are actually here to help people in my position instead of people like you who arent helping me in any way at all

Sorry if i was a bit harsh, I would just hate to see you hook it all up and then put it in high pass and fry the sub. Not tryin to be rude.

Of course, you could've just told him the difference

Basically the difference between low pass and high pass is the frequency the amp is allowed to output to the speaker. Since subwoofers play lower frequencies, the low pass would filter out any higher frequencies the woofer wouldn't be able to play anyways (which could even damage the sub, as Scott mentioned). Similarily, the high pass filters out the lower frequencies and is usually used for speakers, such as components, coaxials, etc.

That is probably not going to power that sub and speakers (If you still have them wired too). Get yourself another sub. With xmas and boxing day coming up, you should be able to get a lower end amp for about $200.
