anyone here know how i could get rid of the damn speed limiter? my governor kicks in at 160, 3rd gear still has about 500 rpm to go, and it just kicks back, i cant stand the damn thing...thanks

Dude there there for a reason, in alot of cars i could see why you would want to take it out, but its a Jimmy! Its not suppose to go fast! just Wait till you get your new Car in the Summer to be going at speeds over 160!....or just borrow your uncles A8 again! lol

Dude you always wonder why the cops are such pricks to you... it's cause you go 160km (and you're trying to go faster) in an SUV that handles as good as an Oxe and cart. Seriously... slow down... don't speed... off-road!

you can get a chip called a hypertech pwoer programmer III. it will change shift points, speed limiter, and some other stuff.try going here for more information.

your gonna have to chip ur ecu to get rid of that, theres quite a few companies out there that can do this just look around

My dad had his taken out of his chevy 4x4 truck .Just go to the dealership and get it taken out .

What kind of tires do you have? Make sure they're rated to go faster than 160 km/h...

dude, i wanna take it out because losing to a civic when its 5 lengths behind me and its slowly catching up going 175-180 pisses me off

cops have only caught me speeding that one time (unreasonable rate) and i rarely go 160 unless im on the highway late at night!
