My mom and sister bought those Windsor Pilates dvds and I tried them out, it is some seriously hard work... especially for a guy.Originally posted by CuteAsianAngel

I would definetely recommend Windsor as it combines low-impact high-detail workouts with flexibility enhancing movements.

how fucking lame.. pick up some weight
R7 your a flipping idiot.. pilate's is all core workouts.. try it for 1 hour and you will die! working out is 1 muscle.. pilates is all important muscles!
I'm not even going to mention it, it's not worth trying to fight with you over the internet.Originally posted by r7

All I will say is that I DO pick up weights on a regular basis, and whether I am pushing myself on the weights or doing a Pilates video my body is being challenged either way... but you are probably in way too good of shape to be challenged.

LOL, workout is only ONE muscle? wtf are you talking about?
do some 20 rep squats with even your body weight and It would be way more intense than any pilates workout
foreign1, so, deadlifts and benchpress only use one muscle? and are not core lifts? I see...
Okay, well the fact is none of us are actually helping the thread at all.
She started the thread wondering where Pilates Studios were and we took it to an argument about what exercises work what muscles.
The thread was probably over when Ben gave the website, I tried to give a suggestion for Pilates at home. If we need to argue more lets take it to another thread.

Not sure of any good Pilates studios in town but you might want to try the Windsor Pilates DVDs first -- my gf taught herself pilates with the dvds and has been doing it 4 times a week for the last year+.
Her flexibility is amazing and she had a six pack within 8 months.
LOL, people like you think it's so easy to look like a bodybuilder... you're the type that says things like "I don't want to be too big" and think that lifting weights will make you look like Chyna. LOL Majority of girls want to look like fitness models, and without weight training, they won't.Originally posted by awd

I know girls that look like fitness models without weight training and they're extremely physically fit. Also judging by the attitude of your responses in this thread the "majority" of women you know is probably not a very high number.Originally posted by r7

Where did I say it was "easy" to look like a bodybuilder?
CuteAsianAngel was asking about PILATES and you threw out an ignorant comment. Maybe you like women with bigger biceps than you, but we sure don't.

I did Muay Thai/yoga for a year and I was fit and there was no weight training.
I just want to try something new - besides I hate weights.
