My folks have a FX45 and the all season tires suck on the snow.
What are their options for a smaller rim with winter rubber that will clear the brakes?
Getting winter tires for the stock 20" rims would probably be very expensive.
Thanks

According to tirerack.com, you can fit 265/60-18 as winters. Rolling diameter is almost idential to the stock 265/50-20 tires.

Yes, these vehicles are a bit of a tough fit simply because of the lack of options... In 20 inch, Dunlop was one of the only companies making snow tires in the Grandtrek SJ5, but there are none of these left this season. In 18 inch, you may find more options but you will need new rims also...
My friend has the same problem. He's looking for winter tires to fit his stock 20 inch rims. So if I understand correctly from CMSbob's post, Dunlop is the only company with 265/50/20 rubbers? Thanks!
We have done a number of FX winter packages over the past couple of years. You'd be suprised how small the brakes are on the FX45! If you are still looking for options let me know and I will put together some options for you.Originally posted by Ekliptix

Happy holidays

That is the only company so far that I have had access to 20 inch winter with, but even there they are tough to find usually... As said though, winter packages can be done, but it requires new rims as well as tires...Originally posted by motoki88

My Dad is really wanting just the 20" winter tires now. If any become available please reply here.
Thanks

I just checked in with the warehouse system and they are sold out across Canada until next winter season. Your only hope will be to call around to different shops in hope that someone is sitting on a set, but it will be unlikely as this tire size is considered gold these days!
Sorry man!
